It gives me much pleasure to bear testimony to the excellent manner in which Mr.G.A.Mitchell performed the duties of Wardmaster at the R.N. Hospital at Hpng Kong during the two years he served with me at that Institution. The Hospital was kept scrupulously clean and he showed great tact in the management of th sick berth staff, and of the Chinese labourers and others employed about the Hospital. When the Black Blague broke out in the Colony and volunteers were called for from the Nursing Staff of the Hospital he was the only one who responded. He was cheerfu

and obedient under all circumstances and careful at all times to per- form his duties in a manner which should meet the approval of his AÚÐ@105— superiors, and I should be very pleased to learn that his con- scientious and thorough discharge of his duties had earned him further promotion.
